Rehabilitation Enhancement Program

All residents/patients have the right to reach their highest level of function and to maximize their quality of life.  It is the role of each person who works with them to help them do so.  We are all here to support each resident/patient to be as successful as they can be.  Our focus is the resident/patient.

OBRA (Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, 1987) was established to ensure optimum care for residents in long term care facilities which allows a person to maintain his or her highest level of functioning for physical, mental, psychological, and social well-being.

As a result, Bencura designed a REHABILITATION SKILLS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM, to ensure continuous educational support to your entire staff.  We strongly feel that EDUCATION and KNOWLEGE  are the conerstone to QUALITY SERVICES to your residents/patients.

Bencura WORKS with your Education Manager and Director of Nurses to provide courses in the following:

•Aging and Sensory Loss

•ROM (range of motion) and Splints

•ADLs (Dressing and Grooming)

•Dysphagia (Swallowing Disorders)

•Cognition, Dementia, Alzheimers

•Communication and Alternative Communication

•Transfers and Ambulation

•Falls Prevention
